Six online games that are trending right now

Sometimes you want to play alone, whether it’s a relaxing solitaire session or an engrossing mobile slots game. We understand. Even so, some of the best gaming-related experiences come from moments shared with others online. After all, an excellent multiplayer mode makes a video game infinitely replayable and allows for good times with local friends or strangers from all over the country—as long as the servers remain operational. Our list of the best online games includes both console and PC games. Let’s get cracking!

1. War Thunder – War Thunder is a free-to-play multiplayer game in which military vehicles knock each other down, whether in aerial dogfights, sprawling tank battles, or naval skirmishes. That pitch may sound familiar, but no free MMO comes close to matching War Thunder in terms of quality, balancing, and the sheer number of vehicles available to unlock. Moreover, while the multiplayer game began with a modest set of aircraft and ground vehicles familiar from WW2 games, its myriad tech trees now encompass the military histories – past and present – of several nations, ranging from global superpowers to smaller countries known for punching above their weight.

2. Wordle – Wordle is a browser-based word guessing game that has gained popularity this year. The game’s concept is straightforward, and it’s a lot of fun to play. Furthermore, the fact that you only get one puzzle daily adds to the fun and raises the stakes. If you enjoy word games and take pride in your ability to guess words in a limited number of attempts, you should try Wordle. It is one of the year’s most popular and best online games.

3. Fortnite – Fortnite has remained among the most popular games over the last decade. Everyone knows about Fortnite; whether you live in the United Kingdom, Canada, or China, you’ve probably heard someone mention it. However, the game’s most compelling selling point is its 100-player battle royale mode, in which players compete against each other across a massive map with numerous locations, each requiring a unique set of skills to navigate and succeed. While many people enjoy playing this game mode alone, many prefer to play with friends in duos or groups of four. All of this adds to a fun and immersive gaming experience for gamers of all ages.

4. Among Us – One of the most ironic aspects of Among Us is that it did not come out during the pandemic, as many people believe. It had been out for a long time before that. However, due to the pandemic isolating us and making us crave interaction, this game was discovered and then took off worldwide. And while it isn’t as popular as it was in 2020, it is still a game that people enjoy playing against one another to see who can survive, find the imposter, or kill all of their friends. Sometimes the simplest competitive games are the best, which is an excellent example.

You had a pretty strong race in Belgium, finishing in the points. Do you still believe it was one of the best races of your career?

Yeah, considering that we were struggling quite a lot in terms of pace, and we were on the back foot very early in the race. We ran P9 after Max and Charles passed, so it looked like a tricky race. I thought that P10 might be a very promising result – and we managed to hold on. In the last 20 laps, I held off a train of four or six cars. Eventually, we reached the point, and it felt like a well-deserved race. We maximised everything in the practice sessions and did a great job in qualifying. On Sunday, we didn’t have the pace we expected to have, and we were a bit slower than expected. Thanks to a great strategy and being proactive, we managed to execute a really nice race.

Best sportsbooks for motorsports betting

Motorsports may not have the same profile in the US sports sector as some of the other professional leagues, but the world of motorsports is full of variety and excitement, and US sportsbooks are increasing and expanding their motorsports betting markets and offers.

For sports bettors, motorsports offer many attractions. Whether you are a fan of Formula 1, NASCAR, MotoGP or Endurance racing, the demands of each type of motorsport are distinct, and there is a vast variety of racing types and rules. The technical specifications and regulations change regularly, and sportsbooks often find it hard to adapt to the changes, producing opportunities for shrewd bettors.

At the same time, many sportsbooks are under pressure to offer a variety of motorsports markets to compete with their rivals, which can lead to them making mistakes or overlooking obscure details. There has never been a better time for fans of NASCAR, Formula 1 and other top motorsports events to bet on their favourite teams and drivers. Here are some of the best places to start.

WynnBet

A well-known brand in the US betting sector, Wynn Resorts has recently expanded into online sports betting with the WynnBet arm of their operation and has been one of the most successful of the new breed of sports betting operators in the US. They operate in 10 states, including the big markets of New Jersey and New York, and are likely to expand into other states over the next few months.

Formula 1 and Pirelli – Interview with Mario Isola

In an exclusive interview, Paddock Magazine catches up with Pirelli’s Motorsport Director, Mario Isola, to hear about the challenges of designing an F1 tyre, sustainability, and much more.

Formula 1 is booming, and racing has significantly improved, but what’s it like from the tyre supplier?

First of all, I totally agree with you! [Smiles] I think the sport has taken a massive step in the right direction with the new regulations this year. It was challenging for us to design new tyres because the size and the characteristics also changed. To improve the performance, we had to develop a tyre that isn’t so sensitive to overheating. Another critical factor is that we designed a tyre with a lower degradation level. Actually, the new cars helped our work, because when you follow another car and don’t lose downforce, you can push more on the tyres. I think the drivers are happy with the changes we made.

We have a simulator in Milan, and it’s also used for road tyre development.

Verstappen’s inches closer to F1 crown

Six more races remain for dominant Dutch driver Max Verstappen to secure this year’s F1 title, and it appears that no one can halt his mean machine.

This season started off with such promise for fans when Ferrari and Red Bull were initially locked in a tough battle for top honours.

Yet the Italian manufacturer has seemingly gifted Verstappen the F1 World Drivers Championship crown this season through several errors.

The margin has gradually widened between Verstappen and his closest rival, Monegasque’s Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, as the Red Bull car has been expertly purring around the world’s top circuits.

Back in July, there was not much to choose between the two teams in terms of performance, but now Verstappen is steaming ahead with his one-man show.

Italian GP rewind

There was a real success for the 100th Italian GP, both in terms of spectators and fans. Much less so for the Race Direction decisions.

After two years of the pandemic, the Monza circuit could reopen entirely to the general public. An extraordinary event on the occasion of the 100th Italian GP.

The F1 weekend’s takings were frightening. The sold-out at the Brianza circuit provided excitement, with the classic chilling cover of the red tide under the podium. The fans could not celebrate a Ferrari driver’s triumph for the third year in a row, but there was no shortage of controversy. The Grand Prix ended under a safety car because of a race direction that was, to say the least, pitiful and not without errors. Even though Masi watches the GPs, by now, from his home, the new race directors did not prove to be up to the task in case of unforeseen events.

After the paddock paid their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II, the mixed-up grid lined up behind Leclerc and fellow front-row starter George Russell in the Mercedes, both eschewing the general consensus of medium tyres to begin on new softs along with Verstappen, Williams’ debutant Nyck de Vries, and Alpine’s Esteban Ocon.

From P7 on the grid, Verstappen made it into the top three by Lap 4 and took P2 off Russell a lap later. The Dutchman then led as, during a Virtual Safety Car (for Sebastian Vettel’s DNF on Lap 12), Leclerc pitted from softs to mediums.
