Visa Cash App RB, a renowned name in the Formula 1 World Championship, is proud to announce a strategic technical partnership with Roboze, the Italian company that is a global leader in high-performance 3D printing of composites. This collaboration signifies a new era in using advanced materials to produce critical components for racing vehicles, leveraging Roboze’s unmatched expertise in the field.

Visa Cash App RB has already been implementing and integrating Roboze technology in developing its single-seaters for several months and will continue to use it throughout the season. The goal is to produce parts that are impossible to make with other production methods due to incredibly complex geometries, made possible by the Italian company’s additive manufacturing technique for composites. This technique also aims to replace metal parts to reduce weight.

The primary objective of this partnership is to develop and implement ultralight yet incredibly durable components. These components, designed to maximize the performance of the single-seaters, will be made possible through the innovative use of advanced composite materials. Among the various products offered by Roboze, Carbon PEEK, a material based on a super polymer loaded with carbon fibres, has been selected for its superior thermal and mechanical resistance characteristics. This choice will enable the Visa Cash App RB F1 team to achieve significant weight reductions, improvements in aerodynamic efficiency, and an increase in the cars’ structural strength, thereby enhancing their performance on the track.

The changes made to the calendar in 2024 to create a better geographical flow of races have been carried over to 2025. In April, Japan follows Australia and China, followed predominantly by the European races over the summer and the Americas during the autumn before Qatar and Abu Dhabi finish the season back-to-back.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA, said:

The 2025 Formula 1 calendar, approved by the World Motor Sport Council, further illustrates our collective mission of meeting sustainability objectives through regionalising events. While our focus is on Formula 1’s overall stability, we also have a shared duty to the environment and to the health and well-being of travelling staff.

Formula One Management, under the direction of Stefano Domenicali, has produced a calendar that strikes a good balance between traditional circuits and modern venues. We thank the host ASNs, the local organisers, and the many thousands of FIA volunteers for their tireless efforts in making Formula 1 a genuinely global, mass-audience spectacle as we prepare to celebrate the sport’s 75th year.

5 Reasons to Attend the Chinese Grand Prix

Share Tweet Share reddit Email

Formula 1’s return to China brings anticipation for a thrilling race. The last time F1 shined Shanghai’s tracks was in 2019, marking the 1000th stage in the championship’s history. However, subsequent Grand Prix events in Shanghai were cancelled due to the pandemic. In 2021, Formula 1 extended its agreement with Shanghai authorities to host the Chinese Grand Prix until 2025. Despite its recent absence from the World Championship calendar, the event will return this year! Are you longing to see the sights of Shanghai? Let’s delve into five reasons why attending the Chinese Grand Prix is an experience not to be missed.

Formula 1 has been held at the Shanghai International Circuit since 2004. Hermann Tilke designed the track. The configuration of the route he built resembles the initial character “Shang” in the Chinese name of the city of Shanghai. The lap length is 5,451 kilometres, and the track has 16 turns, a total of 56 laps. The inaugural Grand Prix saw Rubens Barrichello of the Ferrari team clinching victory. Over its twenty-year history, the Chinese Grand Prix has witnessed countless thrilling triumphs and heart-wrenching defeats. This beloved track has garnered admiration from drivers worldwide and draws fans from every corner of the globe. Here are five compelling reasons why attending the Chinese Grand Prix this time around is a must:

1) “Debut” of Zhou Guanyu. Zhou Guanyu is the first Formula 1 driver in China’s history. Although he has competed in the championship for several seasons, he has never performed at a home Grand Prix. Zhou was born and raised in Shanghai and taken to the first ever Chinese Grand Prix in 2004. When he was only five years old, he was conquered by racing and became a fan of Fernando Alonso, who was then on the rise of his career. Zhou’s arrival in Shanghai is set to make huge waves with a movie-style documentary on his career, The First One, released on April 19, two days before the race.

When I was a kid, I had binoculars and could zoom into the garage. It was fascinating to see what was happening behind the scenes, and I was dreaming of being an F1 driver one day.
