The New York Stock Exchange-listed organization, spanning over 33 countries with more than 29,100 employees, has solidified its global presence as a Formula 1 partner, aiming to enhance digital experiences for racing teams and fans alike. Globant, founded in Argentina, has teamed up with Williams Racing in a strategic move, marking its debut team partnership in the sport.
This collaboration comes amidst exciting developments in Williams, including the announcement of Franco Colapinto joining Alex Albon for the remainder of the 2024 season and the forthcoming arrival of Carlos Sainz in 2025. Globant has been a staunch supporter of Franco during his F2 campaign and now extends its support on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix, where Franco will proudly become Argentina’s first Formula 1 driver in 23 years.
For Globant, known for its collaborations with elite sports organizations such as Formula 1, FIFA, and the LA Clippers, this partnership with Williams signifies a commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to elevate digital sports experiences. It represents another significant step for Williams in its transformation both on and off the track, following recent partnerships with Komatsu, Keeper Security, VAST Data, and the renewal of its association with Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts.
Martin Migoya, Co-founder and CEO of Globant, expressed pride in the partnership, emphasizing Williams Racing’s status as a technological pioneer in global sports. He highlighted Franco Colapinto’s journey to Formula 1 as a testament to talent and determination, underscoring Globant’s commitment to supporting both Franco and the team that nurtured his ascent. As Latin America’s largest technology firm serving a global clientele, Globant aims to revolutionize the sports industry by enhancing fan engagement and enriching every sporting experience.
James Vowles, Team Principal of Williams Racing, echoed enthusiasm about welcoming Globant aboard, coinciding with Argentina’s latest milestone in Formula 1. He emphasized the shared values of innovation and dedication to delivering unparalleled fan experiences, looking forward to a fruitful collaboration starting at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.
