Stephens’ partnership with Williams Racing, which will last for several years, is a crucial marketing move as the full-service financial services company grows in the U.S. and Europe. The Stephens logo will adorn the FW45 race cars and the driver race suits.

Founded in 1933, Stephens is one of the largest family-owned financial services firms in the United States. Stephens’s main office is in Little Rock, Arkansas, and London and Frankfurt in Europe.

Since its start in 1977, Williams Racing has won 16 FIA Formula One World Championships. This makes it one of the most successful teams in Formula 1 history. Nine of these titles have been won in the Constructors’ Championship in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault. The remaining seven titles were won in the Drivers’ Championship with Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve.

After 44 years of being owned by the Williams family, the team changed hands in 2020 when it was sold to an American private investment firm. The team’s founder, Sir Frank Williams, and his daughter, Claire Williams, the Deputy Team Principal, left the company. The team has entered a transformative new chapter on and off track.

“Stephens is proud to be a sponsor of Williams Racing. This fits well with our overall marketing plans, especially as we try to get more people to know about us and build the Stephens brand in Europe. The F1 audience is a key target for our firm,” stated Miles Stephens, a Stephens principal.

Williams Racing Commercial Director James Bower continued: “We’re thrilled to welcome Stephens to the Williams Racing family. This is one of the most exciting times in the sport’s history as the U.S. has embraced F1 in recent years. That coincides with a transformative era for Williams Racing, and we are delighted that they joined our journey.”
