The BRDC British Formula 3 Championship is at Silverstone for the second round of the season, with testing taking place on Thursday and Friday at all rounds except Spa-Francorchamps.
Reece Ushijima (Hitech GP) and Frederick Lubin (Arden Motorsport) were fastest in the Thursday morning sessions, while Roberto Faria (Fortec Motorsport) topped the times in the afternoon.
Track action continued on Friday afternoon, with Lubin fastest ahead of team-mate Alex Connor in the fifth session of the test.
A dry track greeted the drivers for the first of two 35-minute sessions, with times quickly around those seen in the final session on Thursday, in which Faria set a 1:55.440 around the GP circuit.
Javier Sagrera set a 1:55.885 in the early stages, ahead of Bart Horsten and Zak O’Sullivan.
Faria went top again with a 1:55.689 with 10 minutes remaining, while Christian Mansell, O’Sullivan and Reema Juffali also improved.
Tom Lebbon (Elite Motorsport) and Sebastian Alvarez (Hitech GP) improved to fourth and fifth, while Alex Connor went second.
Lubin set consecutive fastest laps of testing to date, with a 1:55.081 putting him almost half a second ahead of his Arden team-mate Connor.
Dexter Patterson (Douglas Motorsport) jumped José Garfias (Elite) in the closing stages to go 11th.
Lubin ended the session on top, as he did in the second session on Thursday.
Connor sat four tenths behind, two tenths clear of Thursday afternoon’s fastest man Faria.
The Elite Motorsport pair of Tom Lebbon and Javier Sagrera were fourth and fifth, with the two Hitechs of Ushijima and Alvarez separated by less than a tenth.
Zak O’Sullivan led Horsten by four thousandths in eighth, as the times fell outside a second of Lubin’s fastest lap.
Christian Mansell led Patterson, Garfias and Ayrton Simmons.
Bryce Aron was 14th, ahead of Reema Juffali, Mikkel Grundtvig (Fortec) and Max Marzorati.

Javier Sagrera topped the final session of testing at Silverstone, less than a tenth clear of Dexter Patterson who matched his two second-place finishes on Thursday afternoon.
The Arden pair of Alex Connor and Frederick Lubin filled the second row, just under two tenths ahead of Sebastian Alvarez and Thursday afternoon’s pace-setter, Roberto Faria.
Zak O’Sullivan and Reece Ushijima sat five tenths behind Sagrera in seventh and eighth, with Tom Lebbon splitting the Japanese driver and his Hitech team-mate Bart Horsten.
Horsten led Christian Mansell for the second session in a row, pipping his countryman at Carlin for 10th.
Mansell’s team-mate Bryce Aron took 12th, four hundredths ahead of Jose Garfias and Ayrton Simmons.
Simmons was three tenths clear of Chris Dittmann Racing team-mate Max Marzorati who took 15th, with Reema Juffali and Mikkel Grundtvig rounding out the field.
Qualifying and Race 1 will be held on Saturday, with Races 2 and 3 sandwiching the Intelligent Money British GT Championship‘s three-hour Silverstone 500.
